Beta Terms

Last updated: July 2026 · Private beta

What this is

The First Idea is beta software provided as-is while we tune it with working creatives. Features, limits, and pricing may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. Access is by invitation and may be modified or withdrawn.

Your content, your ideas

You own your briefs. To the fullest extent we can grant it, the outputs generated in your sessions are yours to use. One honest caveat that applies to all AI tools: outputs are starting points, and we can't warrant that any idea is free of third-party rights — clearance for real-world use is your responsibility, as it would be for any idea from any source.

Credits

Beta accounts include free monthly credits. Credits have no cash value, don't roll over unless stated, and exist to keep the service sustainable. Failed generations don't charge credits.

Fair use

Don't attempt to extract the system's internals, resell access, automate bulk generation, or use the service for unlawful content. We may rate-limit or suspend accounts that break this.

Liability

The service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months (during the free beta: zero). Nothing here limits liability that can't lawfully be limited.

The boring but real part

These terms are governed by California law. We'll update these terms as the product matures; continued use after changes means acceptance. Questions: hello@thefirstidea.com.
